The Aizu Mountain region is perfect for road tripping between ski resorts. With 22 ski areas to choose from, we discovered having the flexibility to hit the road and find the best mountain conditions is ideal.  

Key Tip: Google Maps and Google Translate make driving and communicating possible even if you can’t read or speak Japanese. Having never driven in Japan before hand, we found the directions in English in Google Maps made it easy to navigate between ski resorts. The roads are quiet and well maintained.
